Manifesto

Michael Hilliard is an excellent designer and photographer who has worked with us on many projects, large and small. One day, he came to us and declared, "I'm designing a brochure about what I do and I need a manifesto for the creative process!"

Since we've known him for a long time, we already had a pretty good idea of what he was looking for. But since we welcome any excuse to eat and drink well, especially in the middle of the day, we adjourned for lunch where we exchanged ideas for about three hours. After shipping him safely back to his office, we went to work on our part of the project. The finished book, illustrated with spectacular examples of his design and photography, is quite the adventure. If you'd like to see more pages, call or email us and we'll send them along.

  • Fortunately, it's easy to tell weak ideas from powerful ones. Weak ideas make you feel safe, comfortable and sleepy. Powerful ideas make your palms sweat. And nothing good happens without a little honest sweat.
